السلام عليكم و رحمة الله و بركاته

 10 April 2013

 Dear Nominated Candidates,

 First of all we would like to say that we are all looking forward to working with everyone on the forthcoming Elections for the new Executive Committee and Trustee Board.

 Our main priority will be to ensure the smooth running of this important process for the EEIS membership. We are mindful of the big responsibility we have been given, and will strive to ensure the Election process is open, transparent and fair. We are all answerable to Allah SWT and pray that HE guides us all to a satisfactory and happy conclusion to the forthcoming Elections.

 An "Open Day" for nominated candidates who are standing for election to the new Executive Committee and Trustee Board had been arranged for Friday 12 April between 2pm and 3pm.

The "Open Day" is now instead moved to Saturday 20 April 2013 after Zuhr Salaat between 2pm and 3pm.

This session will be an opportunity for you to meet and mingle with the Ummah.

This new date will be helpful to the Election process in the following ways:

 A - it allows more time for all the EEIS members to be informed about this important interaction with nominated candidates;

B - moving it to a Saturday allows more members and nominated candidates to participate, rather than having it after Jummah prayers, and therefore a better Election process; and finally,

C - it allows the Election Commissioners more time to effectively plan the process.
